The New Orleans Museum of Art (or NOMA) is the oldest fine arts museum in the city of New Orleans. It is situated within City Park, a short distance from the intersection of Carrollton Avenue and Esplanade Avenue, and near the terminus of the “Canal Street – City Park” streetcar line. It was established in 1911 as the Delgado Museum of Art.
National Fire Protection’s scope of work for this project began with a cut, cap and make safe of the currently installed fire sprinkler system. From there our team went on to provide the installation of a new Wet system retrofit in both the museum and kitchen areas of the building. Using ingenuity our field and design team also worked off of the architectural and structural plans to conceal our piping within the various skylights throughout the museum. This allowed for a more polished final product when turned over to our customer.
